Migraine Care

Suffering from tension headaches and migraines is an experience that can range from frustrating to debilitating.  Thankfully there are a lot of small actions we can adopt into our lives that can relieve the symptoms of headaches and migraines.

Massage therapy can greatly reduce the symptoms of headaches and migraines by relieving muscle tension in the skull, jaw, neck and shoulders. This allows for better health in the muscles themselves as well as reestablishing an effective flow of the fluids in and out of the skull and neck area.  Achieving these goals usually reduces the pressure in the skull significantly, thereby relieving the headachces and migraines.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is a treatment that offers care to the deeper layer of muscles within the body. This typically includes muscles that run deep to the spine, hips, shoulders, and neck.

You can also have deep tissue work done to smaller areas such as arms, lower legs, and feet. Work like this on smaller areas is usually used to address specific strains or injuries within the area.

This type of care is often used to start loosening muscles in the body that have been holding for a chronic period of time.

When you need to break the cycle of chronic muscle tension, this is a great option that can be a great launching point for your wellness journey.

Prenatal and Postnatal Massage

The body goes through a lot of changes through pregnancy and sometimes those changes can tax the body. Massage can help to relax and reset the body for temporary relief of pregnancy symptoms. If you have further questions about how pregnancy massage works please reach out and we can talk through it.

Relaxation Massage

Relaxation massages are a great choice if your body needs to unwind and settle for a moment. Using calming techniques, it appeals to the "rest and digest" part of your nervous system and lets your system know it doesn't need to be on guard right now.

TMJ Dysfunction

This massage helps to loosen the muscles of the jaw and face. This helps relive the symptoms of grinding and clenching the jaw as well as tight muscles that form in the neck and upper back.

Nerve Compression

Have you ever noticed altered sensation in the last two fingers of your hand, or perhaps a shot of pain down the back of your leg?

Nerve compression can happen almost anywhere in the body and can be experienced in a whole host of different  ways. Numbness, burning, tingling, and loss of strength are just a few signals your body can send you to let you know something is starting to go wrong.  Thankfully, the human body is somewhat predictable with it's signals and can indicate to us where the problem is.

If you've noticed a reoccurring signal from your body and you want to address it we'd be happy to help. Just shoot us an email or book in and we can chat more with you about it
